ASIS International (ASIS) is the largest organization for security professionals, with more than 36,000 members worldwide. Founded in 1955, ASIS is dedicated to increasing the effectiveness and productivity of security professionals by developing educational programs and materials that address broad security interests, such as the ASIS Annual Seminar and Exhibits, as well as specific security topics. ASIS Certifications: ASIS administers three certifications programs. The Certified Protection Professional (CPP) designation indicates board certification in security management, and is recognized worldwide as the highest recognition accorded a security practitioner. Two technical certifications have been added recently: the Physical Security Professional (PSP) and the Professional Certified Investigator (PCI).
